When It Comes to Self-Image
Self-image can be difficult.
We live in a world that constantly tells us we have to be better, look better, and achieve more. Social media often makes us feel like we'll never measure up. There's always someone who seems prettier, smarter, or more successful.
But here’s the truth: comparison will always leave us empty. What changed everything for me was when I found my identity in Jesus.
Was it instant? No. I still struggle. But God says He transforms us through the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). Transformation is a process, and sometimes God calls us to wait and grow over time.
You Were Made With Intention
The Bible says we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139). We are the only part of creation made in God’s image. That’s not a small thing.
There’s a very real spiritual battle going on that we can’t always see. (Ephesians 6:12) The enemy wants to convince us that we’re not enough, that our voice doesn’t matter, and that we’re not capable.
I’ve believed those lies too, whether it was not fitting into a friend group, feeling like I wasn’t good enough in sports, or doubting my ability to handle college or run a business.
Those lies aren't random; they're meant to distract, discourage, and stop God's purpose in your life and mine. The enemy tries to attack us in every season, especially when we're stepping into what God's called us to. But God is fighting for us.
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
The Truth That Sets You Free
Life is not about achieving more or comparing ourselves to others; it's about being faithful with what God has given us. We are part of the body of Christ, and He has created each of us with unique gifts and a purpose.
Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." God gives us gifts, not so we can bring glory to ourselves, but so He can work through us to bless others and bring glory to Him.
Your body is a temple. Your voice matters. Your story is valuable.
If You’ve Never Said Yes to Jesus…
If you’ve never given your life to Christ, and you’ve always felt like there’s something more, there is.
God is not far away. He’s near. And He’s waiting.
You don’t need fancy words. You just need honesty. You can pray something like this:
“God, I know I’ve sinned and tried to do life on my own. But I believe You sent Jesus to die for me and rise again. I want to turn from my old ways and follow You. Come into my life and lead me. I want to know You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Life as a Christian isn't always easy, and it's not promised to be, but it is worth it. Seek Him with all your heart, and you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

I recommend starting with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) to learn more about the life of Jesus and His love for you. You can read it in different translations or even have it read out loud to you!

The Gospel Truth
Christianity is not about us working our way to God; it’s about God coming to us.
In the beginning, God created a perfect world and made humans in His image. He gave Adam and Eve free will, and they lived in harmony with Him. But when they chose to disobey and eat from the tree of the knowledge, sin entered the world. Because God is holy, He cannot be in the presence of sin; therefore, we were separated from Him.
But God, in His deep love for us, made a way. He sent His Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and take the punishment we deserved by dying on the cross. Through His death and resurrection, we can now be reconciled with God, not because of anything we’ve done, but because of His grace.
Whoever calls on the name of Jesus and believes in Him will be saved (Romans 10:13). We now have the Bible, God’s Word, to guide us and show us how to live as Jesus did. This is why Christians share the Gospel: we believe it changes lives and gives us hope not just for today, but for eternity.
